Author Guidelines

Papers submitted for Journal of Comprehensive Islamic Studies (JOCIS) must conform to the following guidelines:

1. Manuscripts should discuss the topics in the fields of Islamic Thought and Philosophy, Islamic Economic Thought, Islamic Legal Thought, Islamic Education Thought, Islamic Political Thought, Islamic Sociology, and Islamic Psychology.
2. Manuscripts can be presented in Indonesian or English.
3. Papers must be typed in 1,15 spaces on A4-paper size, using Charter BT font size 11 pt.
4. The length of the manuscript ranges from 6000 to 8000 words.
5. All submission must include a 100-200 words abstract and 5 keywords.
6. Author's full name must be mentioned along with institutional affiliation and email address.
7. All submission should be in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect document file format.
8. Arabic words should be transliterated according to Keputusan Bersama Menteri Agama dan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, No. 158 Tahun 1987 dan Nomor 0543 b/U/1987.
9. References cited are preferred to the latest journal articles and books published in the last 10 years.
10. All citations should be written in the form of footnote following Chicago Manual Style. It is highly recommended for the author to use Zotero or Mendeley Reference Manager.
11. The layout of the text in the manuscript must match the JOCIS journal template which you can download on this journal site.
